Multifocal intraocular lenses are suitable for anyone who doesn´t want to put up with having to use reading glasses
The PRELEX method during which the multifocal intraocular lens is permanently implanted inside the eye, allows you to see in the distance as well as to see up close without glasses. - What is presbyopia?
Presbyopia is the loss of ability to read without glasses within the normal reading distance.
It occurs in about 40 years of age and becomes worse when people get older.
It is caused by the loss of elasticity of the human crystalline.
The solution is reading glasses prescription or PRELEX-type methods.
Presbyopia is based on the implantation of multifocal intraocular lenses that will allow you to see in the distance as well as to see up close without glasses. - Can presbyopia be treated?
We cannot cure the cause of presbyopia yet.
We can relieve you of reading glasses, though.
The PRELEX method allows seeing in the distance as well as seeing up close without glasses. - I´m over 40 and would like to get rid of reading glasses in particular. Will laser surgery help me?
If you are over 40 and would like to get rid of reading glasses in particular, non-laser PRELEX or RLE-type surgery will be more for you.
If you are over 40 and your main problem is seeing in the distance, laser surgery may be suitable for you as well.
