The most common treatment is laser surgery, yet non-laser surgery may be more suitable for patients over 35 years of age and for patients whose main problem is reading glasses.

ICL implantation is a perfect solution for patients under 40 with prescription beyond the scope of laser surgery or with a thin cornea.

If a hifh prescription is combined with astigmatism, it is possible to use a toric (cylindrical) version of the intraocular contact lens -so-called ICL Toric.

We recommend so-called refractive lens exchange (RLE) to patients over 40 years of age with disorders beyond the scope of laser surgery.

If astigmatism needs to be dealt with during the refractive lens exchange, we use the RLE Toric method during which a toric intraocular lens is implanted.

If the main priority of the patient is to get rid of reading glasses, we sometimes prefer the PRELEX method, which is refractive lens exchange combined with multifocal intraocular lens implantation.
