However, please do not dive for 4 weeks after the surgery.

Yes, you can. However, do not risk peak climbing without oxygen. There are changes in retinal perfusion in short-sighted eyes and large oxygen deficit is not good for them.
We recommend to do an 8000-meter peak no sooner than 6 months after the surgery - after it is approved by the eye doctor. It is really an extreme sports performance that means a heavy load for the eye.
There is no such danger in Alpine heights.

Do not go to a bodybuilding gym for at least 3 days after the laser surgery. Avoid holding your breath and keeping your abdominal muscles tight in the next 4 days. A week after the surgery you can do the same exercises as before the surgery. A headband is useful for the first 14 days. Sweat pouring down the forehead may burn bad in your eyes.
In the case of non-laser ICL-type surgery, please do not go to a bodybuilding gym for at least 10 days.
How long after the surgery can I ride a bike?
Riding a bike as such is not harmful to the eye.
What we are afraid of is falling and hitting your eye in the first 14 days after the surgery.
Wear quality protective glasses when riding a bike - and this doesn´t only apply for the period after the surgery. It applies for every ride.

Do not swim in public swimming pools for at least 4 weeks after the surgery. Water is not quite clear there and we are afraid of infection.
Seawater is not so infectious but the salt might irritate you more strongly than usual.

You can have a bath on the day of surgery. If it is really necessary, you can also wash your hair on the day of surgery.
It will be easier for you if you have someone to help you wash your hair. Washing your hair in special hairdressing basins with your head bending backward is an ideal and the safest solution in the first days after the surgery.
It is important in the first week after the surgery that no dirty liquid gets in your eye as well as nothing that would urge you to rub them heavily.
Wash your head as usual from the second week. However, it is advisable to use a shampoo that does not irritate eyes, e.g. JOHNSON'S® Baby shampoo, for one more week.

It will be easier for you if you have a wife or girlfriend to help you wash your head in the first days.

Yes, we do. We provide discounts for two or more family members. If you come to the examination and surgery together with your wife, laser treatment in one eye will be provided to you for free. Details in the "Pricelist" section.
We provide other discounts for groups of 3 or more friends. If they are examined and operated on on the same day, they will be given a fine discount and champagne after the surgery for free.

Making love as such cannot hurt the eye.
If you cannot do without sex on the day of surgery, control yourself and choose less athletic positions and give priority to softer ones.
Passive sexual positions are perhaps the best choice on the first and second day after the surgery.
Ask your partner not to kiss your eyelids and not to touch your eyes this time. Especially your partner´s nose and long hair can be a bit dangerous in this case.
Follow the restriction for at least one week after the surgery. And don´t forget - you can do it without glasses :-))
