The deceitfulness of a number of retina diseases lies in the risk of quick occurrence of irreversible vision impairment.
Unreasonable postponement of treatment increases the risk of permanent and hard consequences. It mainly applies to the detachment of retina. Timely surgery reduces the consequences to a minimum.
Macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy are the most common cause of virtual blindness in people over 55 years of age. The process is more slowly but it is a great risk to postpone treatment. A timely application of biological treatment with Avastin will stop or slow down the progression of the disease and may lead to significant improvement of vision by up to 6 lines of examination optotypes.
If you find out that your vision has suddenly impaired, if you perceive new visual field failures, do not hesitate and contact us. We will perform a detailed examination of your eyes in the shortest possible time, including an examination with Zeiss Stratus 0CT3 optical tomograph that will precisely determine the extent of your disease. Where appropriate, we will consequently perform surgery or conservative treatment.
